I have always been a big fan of using email marketing as a tool to communicate with prospects and to push product sales. I recently read a report that says only 16% of people will buy the first 1 or 2 times they see your product. 34% will buy after 3-4 exposures to your product. 34% will buy after 5 or 6 exposures. The remainder will buy after 7 or more exposures! So how do you expect to sell your product to someone who visited your web site for the first time?
One of the easiest ways to build an email list is to use Squeeze Pages which tend to have much higer conversion rates than you will ever have with product sales. People are more likely to give you contact info than they are willing to buy your product or services the first time they visit your website. Anyone who gives you this info is ASKING YOU to communicate your value to them over an extended period of time.
