Getting Started Investing in Real Estate
Being an entrepreneur is something that always has me doing many different things and looking for different investments and ideas that will benefit me financially and also provide me with some extra brain stimulation.
I currently rent my home in Dallas, but have been looking at buying a home. I have finally decided that I should go ahead and start investing in real estate. I have seen too many people become multi-milllionaires by investing in real estate and just have to see how I can do myself. Also, the market is slowing down and forclosures are at an all time high, so now is the best time to get involved.
My first step in learning this new trade is going to be attending the Donald Trump Foreclosure Investing Seminar coming to Dallas this weekend - which is free so SIGN UP NOW.
I just started a new blog called the Dallas Real Estate Investor Blog and will be documenting my experiences in learning the real estate market so follow along as I start on my path to real estate domination :)

I will read your new blog with great interest. I have worked in the real estate industry in the past, and have seen those who have succesfully made money and those who have not. You make a great point that now would be an excellent time to jump in and try and make your own little nest egg.

Mark,
Good luck on purchasing your new home, you have the ability to own your own home for a fraction of the cost.
I guess this is one of the few benefits of having a poor economy.

is the carton piece of your picture real? quite creative.
I wish you luck (even if we don't rely on luck in real estate). I find it smart of you to "study" the big figures (big names like Trump) right at the beginning. Yes, the market is slowing, you have a great timing, be opportunist.

Good luck on your venture. Timing is all important in real estate. Going in when it is at its bottom and out when it is at its peak.
Hope you can update on your progess on your new blog.

your Idea of investing into real estate is still very sound, especially in the foreclosure market.
Remember two things though:
Buy low, sell high
Timing is everything
Be sure your ready when interest rates hit a low point ,and get a fixed interest loan.
Be darn sure you can handle the payments in case the property takes some time to sell. Dave

Right now is a perfect time to start investing in real estate if your credit is good enough to get loans right now. The market has really corrected itself. You can find great deals outside of foreclosures, do a little online research and look for properties that have been on the market for longer than 6 months you will be able to negotiate their price down.
