Learn How to Write a Business Plan - for Free
While I was attending the University of North Texas, working on completing the entrepreneurship program, I had multiple classes that required me to write a business plan. I had to write two of them from scratch and learned a lot from the process.
However, there was a downside - it cost me thousands of dollars to learn how to write the business plans. By all means, I am glad I did it, and I wouldn't have gotten a degree without having done this, but I do realize not everyone has the means to pay the thousands of dollars that I did. And who wants to spend thousands on learning just one thing.
Luckily, there is a free way to learn what I did for thousands of dollars. Take this free course on how to write a business plan, and I am sure that you will learn the same things that I did that have led me to the success I enjoy today doing marketing in Dallas.

A good course and an interesting program, but there was definitely a lot of pushing to then pay for other Trump University services. Well worth looking into, but be ready for that.

Writing a business plan is an art and a science and does require some skill to master. I'm a business financing consultant and as such I've seen a ton of business plans, good bad and really bad. Most people that write business plans don't do their homework properly and create plans which to an experienced eye are simply unrealistic. All business plans should be written with a very balanced approach. The good ones provide three different scenarios, optimistic, realistic and conservative. Of all three scenarios the most important is the conservative or (worse case scenario) To use a phrase that I heard from a venture capitalist, the WCS is the reason fighter planes have ejection seats. Lenders really want to know they they will be able to get their money back if you crash or or shot down. Failure to provide this important information is one reason why most business plans are rejected.

Thanks for all of your comments.
I think that even if you don't live and die by your business plan, it serves as a great guide for where you hope to be and where you are right now.
@Marvin - I totally agree with your comment and will remember to be as realistic as possible with the different outcomes with my next business plan.
