Yahoo just announced the death of a spider. Ok, so the spider isn't actually dying, it is just getting a new home.

The Yahoo! Slurp user-agent crawler is moving from inktomisearch.com to crawl.yahoo.net.  The IP address will remain the same and this shouldn't affect most webmasters.  If you do any type of reverse DNS checks for the crawler identity or have any network access rules to allow inktomisearch.com, you will need to make sure to now allow for crawl.yahoo.net.

Yahoo expects this transition to last a few weeks until the inktomi name is wiped away for ever.
